Our Eagles had a very special guest — Smokey Bear!  Smokey taught us many things about safety including being safe with matches, how to put out campfires, and how to be safe around all types of fires! Thank you, Smokey Bear!

This week we want to spotlight our 4th-grade teacher, Mrs. Harshbarger! This excellent teacher has taught kids of all ages for a long time and has been a proud Eagle for five years! She says she loves working with 4th graders here at McKenzie because she loves their "sense of humor and enthusiasm for learning new things!" When asked what her favorite memory McKenzie is, she had a tough time choosing! She said, "I enjoyed watching Mr. Meister, and Mr. Barrett eats crickets. I have also enjoyed the field trips that fourth graders have been able to go on." What is YOUR favorite Mrs. Harshbarger memory? Please help us thank this excellent teacher in the comments below.

The last Wednesday of each month is a fun day here at Mckenzie! Our ASB chooses a dress-up day, and this past Wednesday was "Anything But a Backpack Day.” A special thank you to our ASB and Advisor, Mrs. C, who have been mentoring the younger grades by starting up their student body officers! Watch out for more photos of our Eagles in action.
