There’s nothing better than seeing our Eagles celebrate their accomplishments! Last week’s Fun Fest for grades K-6 capped off an incredible 3rd quarter filled with hard work and building lasting memories as a school community.

We are in need of volunteers for the Mt. West Middle School Track and Field Championship meet on Friday, May 3rd, at McKenzie Community Track.
The meet starts at 12 pm.
Volunteers should be at the track by 11 am.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream, especially after completing 2-12 multiplication answers in two minutes flat!
The fourth graders celebrated their accomplishments with an ice cream party.
This week’s Classroom Curiosity is dedicated to their hard work and stellar multiplication skills!
As we approach the end of the school year, we are beyond excited to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our seniors through these senior spotlights!
Up first is Savanna Drummond!
During her time at McKenzie, she loved cheering on her sister at volleyball games and being Homecoming Princess. She also served on the Yearbook Committee, assisted teachers with the first-grade class, and participated in a cooking class.
As she wraps up her time at McKenzie, Savanna is looking to find a job and save money for a fun vacation.
Her advice to incoming students is, “Be positive and have a good attitude. Time goes by really fast.”

When was the last time you measured your height?
Last week, the first graders learned about measurements and how to use nonstandard units to measure length and height to the nearest whole number.
Using connecting cubes, markers, and wood blocks as learning tools, our students truly embodied the spirit of Classroom Curiosity!

Calling all Eagles and their families!
On April 18th from 5:30-7:30 pm, McKenzie Little Eagles Preschool & Childcare Center will be hosting a Spring Fling Open House. The open house is during school-wide parent/teacher conferences, so stop by and check it out!
Enjoy a delicious BBQ/potluck, play-based activities for children, and a night of community!
All of our teachers have turned to higher education and professional development workshops to gain increased awareness of how to support our community’s youngest members. Others have also served in cohorts dedicated to mental health care for infants and toddlers.

From the start of the school year to now, our Eagles have achieved remarkable milestones. What better way to mark 100 Days of School than with an in-class celebration?
This Classroom Curiosity honors our dedicated students, some of whom embraced the occasion by dressing up as 100-year-olds. We're immensely proud and eagerly anticipate the adventures the rest of the year holds!
